Accessibility Statement

The Public Institutions of Social Security (OISZ/IPSS) are doing their utmost to make the information available on their websites accessible to all.

This Accessibility Statement has been established for the Social Security Portal (in Dutch, French or German), Coming2Belgium and Leaving Belgium (in Dutch, French or German), in accordance with the directives of the law of 19 July 2018 on the accessibility of websites and mobile apps of public sector organisms (in French).

Compliance Status

The Social Security Portal, Coming2Belgium and Leaving Belgium are partially compliant with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 2.1 level AA standards.

The videos present on the portal lack transcripts. Some have no sound.

We are currently working on a version accessible to all users, and will publish it as soon as possible.

Administrative Instructions

The following elements are not accessible:

  • The HTML structure of the website needs to be improved.
  • The colour contrast is not high enough.
  • Some elements on the forms do not have a valid name.

Coming2Belgium and Leaving Belgium

The following elements are not accessible:

  • The HTML structure of the website needs improving.
  • Some anchor elements do have a valid href-label, but no link content.
  • The colour contrasts are insufficient.
  • Labels are missing from some pages and some fields.
  • Some elements have no names available for accessibility APIs.

Furthemore, sreach results on Leaving Belgium are not marked as links.

We are currently working hard to present you with a version accessible to all users. A new and fully accessible version is currently in development. We expect to publish it by the end of 2021.

  • Critical analysis based on W3C criteria
